Varied styles of training suited to all levels

CrossFit

CrossFit is a high-intensity fitness program that combines elements of weightlifting, cardio, gymnastics, and functional movement to improve overall strength, endurance, and agility. Developed in the early 2000s, CrossFit emphasizes varied, scalable workouts known as WODs (Workouts of the Day), which challenge participants to push their physical limits. These workouts are designed to train multiple muscle groups and energy systems through exercises like squats, deadlifts, pull-ups, and sprints, performed in a group setting to foster a sense of community and motivation. Suitable for all fitness levels, CrossFit focuses on improving performance in real-world tasks while promoting a balance of power, speed, flexibility, and stamina.

Class types

1 hour CrossFit

This is your standard CrossFit class, we will focus on one movement for half of the class, this wil involve drills to improve confidence with movements. We then finish with a WOD, this is an intense workout to put your skills into practice, we split these into scaled and RX (as perscribed) meaning that they can be adapted for people at all levels

1 hour Legends (Age 55+)

Similar to CrossFit, but aimed to be more tailored for people of the age of 55 and over.

1 hour Team WOD

These are team workouts, 1hour high intensity workout where you share the work with other members of the gym. We randomise the teams every week so you can meet different people from the gym and also so you can train with similar level people

1 hour Beginners Class

Designed to help new comers onboard to the movements, as CrossFit can look daunting from the outside, this is specifically, to be very hands on to help people get their confidence with the movements.

1 hour Comp Class

Competitions are a big part of CrossFit, this class is designed for people who are looking to emulate a competition experience, we have multiple workouts with a little break in between. These classes are designed for more experienced athletes who can perform movements without scaling.

Hyrox

Hyrox is a global fitness race designed to test strength, endurance, and overall athletic performance through a standardized format that combines running and functional exercises. The event consists of eight 1-kilometer runs, each followed by a functional workout station, such as sled pushes, sled pulls, rowing, burpee broad jumps, or wall balls. Unlike CrossFit, which emphasizes varied workouts, Hyrox features a consistent structure, making it ideal for athletes to track and compare their performance over time. Open to all fitness levels, participants can compete individually, in doubles, or as part of a team. Hyrox has gained popularity for its balance of endurance and strength challenges, offering a structured yet demanding fitness experience.

Class types

1 hour Hyrox

These classes are focused on improving your engine, so you can be best prepared for your next Hyrox events. These classes will work similar to Endure classes except there won't be movements from CrossFit e.g. the gymnastics or Olympic weight lifting

Strength & Conditioning

Strength and conditioning classes are designed to complement primary fitness programs like Hyrox and CrossFit by focusing on building a solid foundation of strength, mobility, and injury prevention. These classes target specific muscle groups, often overlooked in high-intensity training, to enhance overall performance and resilience. Incorporating exercises like accessory lifts, core stabilisation, mobility drills, and unilateral movements, these sessions help correct imbalances, improve flexibility, and support joint health. By strengthening the body's weaker areas, participants can increase their power output, reduce fatigue during workouts, and minimize the risk of injuries.

Class types

1 hour Strengh & Conditioning

These classes are designed to help you with accessory work. We have a set programming for you to follow, but these classes are less hands on from the coaches you can work through the workout how you want, there will be a coach on hand to help. These workouts have a cardio aspect, but also traditional weight lifting and mobility.

1 hour Endure

Endure is a conditioning class similar to what you may find in a CrossFit WOD, we have a mix of individual, pairs, and team workouts which will change week by week
